About the Awesome OTW Staff

Matt Baggette
Matt was born and raised in Manassas, Virginia (born during a Redskins game no less. Doomed from the start). He grew up at a time when being both a Redskins and Orioles fan was normal as Baltimore had no football team and DC no baseball. Now he's one of the holdover Orioles fans that didn't jump ship when the Nationals came to town. Matt loves baseball above all other sports, after all his initials are MLB. He grew up a giant Cal Ripken Jr. fan, collecting over 100 of the Iron Man's baseball cards. He even wore #8 and playing short stop his first year of little league.

Other than baseball, Matt cheers on the Redskins and Capitals. Matt also is obsessed with The Simpsons, and believes that there is a Simpsons quote for every situation. He loves music of all types and fancies himself a drummer, though he really just makes noise.

Pat Maher
Pat was born and raised in the Baltimore area and is a die-hard Orioles and Ravens fan.  He is much less interesting than the other staff members of this blog, as evidenced by this description.  Pat attended the University of Maryland, College Park and somehow earned a degree in Language, Writing, and Rhetoric #SparkNotes.

His interests include watching/playing most sports, playing guitar, and Miller Lite.

Christopher Mills

Christopher was born and raised in and around Kitchener, Ontario. Always a non-conformist, he rebelled against local Blue Jay fandom and sought out his own team. Spurred on by his admiration for the Iron Man, Cal Ripken Jr., he began following the Orioles and quickly became an avid fan. In addition to cheering on his Orioles, Christopher is a passionate and knowledgeable baseball fan, always up to date on the latest goings on around the league, as well as researching the games rich and storied history. He is happy to have a friendly chat about the game or engage his opponents in fierce and intense debate. All challengers are welcome.
In addition to baseball, Christopher is a passionate sports fan, often found rooting on his beloved Broncos and Senators during baseball’s offseason. He participates in baseball and volleyball leagues, and never shies away from a tennis match. Golf is occasionally on the list too, but his Phil Mickelson impression is greatly lacking. Christopher is also a huge movie buff and loves to travel. To date, he has visited more than 20 major league ballparks and continues his quest to visit them all.

With a background in Communications, English and Journalism, he has developed a deep passion and skill for writing. Combined with his love of baseball, that makes this joint venture with close friends an awesome and rewarding experience.
Nathan Mullenax

Nathan grew up in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and currently resides in Statesboro, Georgia. Because of this (and because there are only like five choices), he chose Georgia font to write this section. Besides his obvious love for baseball and the Orioles, he is an avid bowler and enjoys football. He owns a tiny infant baby named Dexter and is engaged to be married in January 2015.
